Career Momentum, Inc.

Career Momentum, Inc. was established in 1989 in Minneapolis, MN by Clara Hurd Nydam.  After relocating to Madison, WI in 1991 with her husband, Clara closed the business and worked as a recruiter.  However, at the request of several business leaders in career transition, Clara re-established Career Momentum, Inc. as a State of Wisconsin corporation and Certified Woman Owned Business Enterprise.  

In 2004, Career Momentum was invited to become a global partner/owner of Career Partners International, one of the world’s largest and most successful talent management consultancies with a global footprint in over 45 countries around the world.  As founder and president of Career Momentum, Clara developed strategic business relationships with Profiles International, HRD Press, Bigby Havis, SkillSoft e-learning and Consulting Psychologists Press.  These relationships have assisted Career Momentum to become a versatile provider of state of the art assessments, coaching, team building, performance improvement and career services in Southern Wisconsin.

In 2012, Cory Erickson joined Career Momentum as co-owner, president and chief operating officer after a 30+ year career in industry, primarily in the human resources field.  In January 2014, Cory purchased the remaining stock of Career Momentum and moved into his role as president and chief executive officer.  

Over the years, the scope of Career Momentum’s services has expanded to include talent management services that are involved with helping companies hire the right people, engage and develop their employees, and transition their talent due to promotion, reorganization, or downsizing.
